This once-in-a-lifetime safari adventure begins in Nairobi, Kenya where you stay two nights. We are flying in one day before the tour begins to give you time to rest. Day three enjoy your day of leisure. Day four set off for the mountainous region of Aberdare National Park. Arrive at your hotel situated on the slope of Mweiga Hill overlooking the park. Keep an eye out for the giraffes that welcome you to the lodge. The afternoon is at leisure. Day five begins at the Shaba, Samburu and Buffalo Springs reserves, home to some of Africa’s most exotic wildlife. After lunch, it’s on to Buffalo Springs for a game drive to begin your search for the “Big 5” lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino. Tonight learn about the culture and traditions of the Samburu – an ethnic group related to the Masai. Day six the search continues for the “Big 5” on a morning game drive through the rugged Samburu National Reserve. After lunch at the lodge, continue on an afternoon game drive in Shaba. Watch for the local birds; over 350 species of birds are known to inhabit the reserve. Your day comes to a close on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River. Relax as the sun sets on the horizon. Day seven return to Aberdare for an unforgettable experience at the world-famous tree lodge, the Ark.  Built on stilts deep in the heart of the forest, this lodge provides game viewing from four viewing decks as the animals come to drink at a watering hole and salt lick located below the lodge. This national park received its name from Lord Aberdare, one of the founding members of the Royal Geographical Society. Day eight drive past the mountains via the spectacular Nyahururu waterfalls. Then, make a photo stop at the Equator. After you arrive at Lake Nakuru continue the search for the “Big 5”. Day nine after your morning game drive, savor a traditional breakfast in the bush. Enjoy leisure time at the lodge before your afternoon game drive. Day ten travel to Masai Mara Game Reserve. The Masai Mara is an extension of the great Serengeti Plain and is considered the most stunning game viewing spot in all of Keya: lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants and other wildlife reside here. Your tent provides all the deluxe amenities of a lodge, complete with the adventure of the wild. Visit a Masai village prior to your game drive. Tonight, enjoy a traditional bush dinner featuring a Masai dance performance. Day eleven enjoy the Masai Mara with both morning and afternoon game drives. Day twelve travel to the outskirts of Nairobi to visit the farmhouse of Karen Blixen, author of the book “Out of Africa”. Later, visit the Giraffe Sanctuary where you will have the opportunity to feed the endangered Rothschild giraffes. Day thirteen depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park, famous for its open plains where lions and elephants roam. The breathtaking snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro dominates the landscape.
