Autumn is a special time of year to visit an Olive Grove especially during harvest time and milling. We are traveling to IL Fiorello Olive Oil Company located in Fairfield. Tour the organic property to learn the history of olive oil, the significance of the term extra virgin and the different varieties and their care. Next, visit the Pieralisi Gold olive mill, capable of milling 3 tons of olives an hour. The tour concludes with a guided tasting of olive oils and balsamic vinegar reductions. A delicious picnic lunch of Grilled Chicken Sandwiches, Garden Salad and Dessert will be served on the patio, weather permitting. We will cap off a fun day with a brief stop at the Jelly Belly Factory Store before heading back to Modesto.
