This class is designed for beginning or intermediate birdwatchers who are interested in the study and identification of local birds. The classroom session will focus on learning how to tell different bird species apart from each other, as well as how to find bird populations at different habitats. Early Birders will enhance your appreciation and enjoyment of wildlife and nature. We will go to local public lands, hiking and identifying birds in the field through visual field marks and vocalizations.
More information on field trips will be handed out in the classroom session. Bring binoculars to classroom and field trips. Suggested field guide: The Sibley Field Guide to Birds of Western North America
(paperback) or National Geographic Field Guide to the Birds of North America (Sixth Edition)
